MISSION
The mission of the ACVV PE Suid is to develop, support and sustain disintegrated famly units within poverty stricken communities by the deliverance of strength based and capacity building programmes..
ACVV PE Suid is a Child Protection Organization and was established by volunteers on 14 April 1927. The ACVV PE Suid is one of seven branches in Port Elizabeth. It is a non-profit welfare organization and does not discriminate against religion, race, gender or creed. The mandate of ACVV P.E. Suid is to provide and facilitate effective and efficient service delivery to the vulnerable groups of society, the poorest of the poor, the marginalized and the disadvantaged groups in the working area. In 2013 / 2014 we reached 10 926 needy people through counselling, workshops, community projects and functions, awareness campaigns, social work and family reunification, community outreach and helping through emergency relief care among many other services.
ACVV PE SUID SERVICE DELIVERY AREA
The ACVV PE Suid area includes the Marine Drive, Summerstrand, South End, Forest Hill, Humewood, Walmer, Walmer Township and Walmer Heights, Walmer Downs, Charlo, Springfield, Greenshields Park, Seaview, Lovemore Park, Mount Pleasant, South End, Part of Newton Park, Mangold Park, and Linkside. If you live in these areas, you are under our care and we will offer our services for free to you and your family.
Any form of donation like food [perishable and non-perishable], clothes, shoes, toys, household appliances, cleaning aids and linen, just to name a few, are welcome and will be distributed to a family who are in need. If you wish to make a donation of any kind, contact our Forest Hill Office and further arrangements can be made.
